There was a harsh rap on the door. On the other side stood a neighbor, not well known in person, but known by reputation. He was a bit of an eccentric loner, and a collector of strange things for prestige or class. One of these things he owned was a human cat hybrid. They had been popular on the market lately, sold as companions. On this day, his hybrid was accompanying him, crouched at his side with a collar round its neck.
The hybrid was an albino male, mostly human except for a skinny white tail, and two big cat ears that twitched on top his head. He nuzzled against his owner’s leg, not minding the leash attached to his collar, or the fact he was dressed in simply an over sized shirt. He was a well kept pet, spoiled, pampered, and kept well cleaned.
